Typically, it is the property owner who spots signs they might have termites and then call us to do a thorough, experienced inspection.

Some common signs you might have termites include:

  • Mud shelter tubes found near foundations or other entry points to the building
  • Weakened or sagging timbers
  • Deposits of mud in wooden joints
  • Cracks in your paint or plaster

We have years of experience inspecting South Australian homes and businesses.

Termite Treatments

Our pest control team may use a mix of termite treatment procedures to get optimal results. We may combine termite baits and non-repellents with extermination treatments. We will look for ways to create a termite barrier in and around your property to reduce future issues.

We use only family-friendly and approved termite products and procedures. These are safe for your children and pets and our approach minimises any potential exposure as well.

Termite Infestation Prevention Tips

In addition to proven termite protection measures, there are simple steps you can take as a homeowner to discourage and even prevent termites in your home! Follow these termite prevention tips.
tips 1

We recommend removing all loose timbers stored in contact with the ground on the subfloor and around the exterior of the home as they are conducive to termite activity.

tips 2

We recommend removing and/or replacing landscaping timbers and timber retaining walls with a non-susceptible material, as it is conducive to termite attack.

tips 3

Leaking pipes or taps up against a building wall attract termites. A 50 cent washer could save you thousands! Ensure proper drainage, including around air conditioners.

tips 4

Keep soil and leaf litter from building up against your outer walls. Don’t put plants right up against your exterior walls as these provide a bridge for termites to gain hidden ingress to the building.

tips 5

Maintain your yard area. Remove any dead trees or stumps. Not just wood, but cardboard or paper on the ground can provide breeding areas for termites. A tidy yard also allows easier inspection.

tips 6

Regular inspections make a big difference in minimising any issues – both around the outer walls and other parts of your property. Spotting a potential problem early gives you time for treatment instead of repairs.
